Non Skiing Activities

Horse Drawn Sleigh: Take a break from your Meribel skiing and enjoy the beautiful Lac Tueda on the edge of the Parc National de Vanoise from a traditional horse drawn sleigh. To reserve call +33 (0)6 03 55 20 89.

Ice Rink: This arena, with a capacity of 2400, hosts international ice hockey matches, skating galas and other events. It is open for public skating daily from 3pm until 7.00pm and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings until 9.00pm.

Ice Karting: Every Monday evening at 9pm the Olympic Ice Skating rink is transformed into a race track. You can go-kart around the ice rink. Anyone over the age of 10 years and 1.40m tall can take part, wrap up warm and book in advance. A 10 minute session costs €20

Olympic centre: Swimming pool, Fitness Centre & Relaxation Spa
There is a large  indoor heated swimming pool at the Olympic centre in Meribel.  There is also a small paddling pool for the children and a large slide into another separate pool.  There are showers, good changing rooms and towels can be hired.  It is open daily from 3-7pm and then again on Tuesday and Thursday it has a late opening till 10pm.
The newly installed Fitness centre completed in 2009, has cardio training machines, fitness training, weights room with access to rowers, steppers, running machines, fitness bicycles and even vibrating bodytoners. 
The Wellness centre & Relaxation Spa (new 2009) has wonderful south facing views you can enjoy of Mont Vallon, one of the most beautiful panoramas in the valley.  Open from 2.30 to 8.30pm daily the facilities include, sauna, Turkish bath, hydromassage showers, and herbal tea bar.  To complete the relaxation zone they have personal massages available, massaging beds and armchair, a body mister room with luminotherapy, and a hydo-massage bath.

Bowling
After a delicious meal in one of our Meribel ski chalets, you have time for some evening entertainment. The Canadian, ultra modern 10pin bowling alley is in the Olympic centre.  Open all day from 2pm (10am in bad weather) till 2am.  It is a 6 lane bowling alley with electronic score board, comfortable bar are, giant TV screen for sport fans, with pool tables and video games.  Bar snacks are also available.

Climbing wall
The 14m high indoor climbing wall within the Olympic centre is open free of charge to experienced climbers from 9am to 8pm except during the mountain guides use.  Tuition is also available for beginners Tuesday and Thursday evening.
