Private Instruction & Guiding

1. I first came to Meribel in the late Eighties and like most visitors I was immediately impressed with the extent of the ski area. Impressed is probably an understatement, the Three Valleys with Meribel skiing at its centre is almost overwhelming in its size and variety.
   My background was club skiing in Scotland. My local ski area was Glencoe, with only 2 chairlifts and two T bars. Access involved a 30 minute climb with all your gear. There were no toilets on the mountain and this combined with the foul weather kept numbers to a minimum.
   Over 20 Meribel winter seasons later and after skiing extensively in Europe, North America and New Zealand I now realise how lucky I am to work in this wonderful area. Skiing and now teaching and guiding has been my whole life. I have been in the Meribel Ecole du Ski Francais for over ten years now. Its a very traditional Ski School that is full of talent and enthusiasm for winter sports. We all have access to first class training slopes and equipment.
   My speciality is private teaching or guiding for up to 6 guests. I can lead on or off piste adventures throughout the Three Valleys with lunch stops to suit your group or family taste. The best cuisine is on the mountain, from genuine rustic Savoryarde to fine dining.  I have two young children of my own. They attend the local school and I find that I am a much better tutor for the wee ones since experiencing my own children's early years. I have several families whose skiing has grown with me and I am delighted and surprised at the progress of children who have only one weeks skiing per year. 
   
   I am available for full or half days for up to six adults or children:
   200euro( half day)  or 360euro ( full day) .
