Meribel - so much on offer!

There are plenty of reasons to love Meribel, not least for its pretty chalet-style architecture, wooded surroundings and friendly, village atmosphere.
The prime reason is its central position within France's huge Trois Vallees ski area.

Situated in the heart of the largest and, for many, the finest ski area in the world, Meribel’s reputation has been built on its extensive skiing & snowboarding, and breath-taking scenery. Nearly all of the buildings in the town are constructed in the traditional Savoyard style from wood and stone, making Meribel one of the most picturesque ski resorts in France. There is something special in every corner of the resort, while the skiing ranges from gentle to extreme!

The Meribel ski area

The ski area is truly inexhaustible and with 600km of pistes in the Three Valleys (150km in Meribel), there is something for every standard of skier. Also, as the epicentre of the world’s largest ski domain, there are endless stretches of off-piste.

The valleys are superbly linked, with the Saulire Express linking you directly to Courchevel in just 12 mins , 2 easy chairlifts to St Martin de Belleville & beyond, Val Thorens as become even quicker to reach. Skiing around the 3 valleys is an utterly dreamy experience with everything quickly accessible from Meribel's central location.

Meribel has two areas dedicated to free-style riders. In Meribel-Mottaret there is the Plattieres snowpark with its 17 acres of jumps, whoops, banks and two half-pipes. The Meribel Moonpark offers one competition-standard half pipe, one half-pipe for learners and a boarder cross with whoops, tables and other obstacles.

Meribel is the largest of the villages in the Three Valleys and offers plenty of alternatives to skiing and snowboarding, such as horse-drawn sleigh rides, paragliding, ice-skating, snow mobile hire and 25m indoor swimming pool, children's pool, water slide, spa and fitness centre, all located at the Olympic centre.
The area is graced with plants and fauna, trees and dramatic landscapes the Valley provides a spectacular environment.

Vanoise National Park

The Vanoise National Park, France’s first National Park, is a boundary-less paradise of 140,000 acres with stunning animal life and wild flora, it offers a stunning backdrop for your Meribel ski holiday.

  • Lovely chalet and fantastic location – just a minute to the main lift . Wonderful area to ski – we have been to Meribel quite a few times now and it never disappoints. Food delicious and facilities very good.

  • We all had an excellent time in Chalet Foehn. It was lovely; cosy, homely and providing everything we needed. The resort was great. This was my first visit to Meribel and I'm impressed with the number and variety of the runs available over the three valleys. We managed to ski everyday albeit not quite all day every day. Particularly; I'd like to thank Jesse and Fiona, our hosts. They both looked after us brilliantly. The food was delicious, the packed lunches just right and the cakes wonderful. I am still shocked how nice vegan brownies can be!

  • I can safely say that all 3 families, had an absolutely fantastic holiday from the time we arrived at the chalet to when we left. From the great customer service, that Janey afforded us while organising the holiday, to the face to face contact with you all while there. We have to make a very special mention to TJ and Abby who made our stay extra special and who were fabulous chalet hosts. They make the perfect team, both friendly and professional, ensuring that each and every one of us was catered for…which is quite a task given we had quite a few dietary requirements! Their food was excellent….the children deciding to eat with us rather than eating a separate menu is testimony to that!
