The summer of 2015 has seen some real development in the Three Valleys. This area makes up the largest ski area in the world with a whopping 600km of piste across the 8 resorts. Courchevel, La Tania, Meribel, Brides les Bains, Les Menuires, Saint Martin de Belleville, Val Thorens and Orelle are all included in this beautiful patch of the skiing world.

In Meribel there has been great investment in areas that are more family friendly with an introduction to free Wifi spots in 6 of the different slopes across the mountains, including the top of Saulire Express, the start of the gondola at Mont Vallon, the top of Moon Park, the top of Taugnete chairlift, the bottom of Altiport chairlift and Chaudanne area.

Other areas are also being developed here, Meribel Mottaret has invested a colossal 60 million Euros to update lifts, make spaces for beginners as well as a night time flood lit luge track. A resort that has a zone focused specifically for beginners will make an area more attractive to those of us who wish to attempt the silky smooth white slopes for the first time. Knowing that you willbe looked after and catered for when aiming at becoming a seasoned skier, will make the first few times more appealing. You will also know that you are in safe hands as well as be amongst other people in the same position as you. So Meribel really is a perfect place to start.
