Taking your kids on a family ski holiday is just about the coolest way to have fun for a week or two. But what about when something unexpected happens? Well, life isn’t all about taking the safe options, and skiing is certainly no more risky than the average beach holiday – so long as you prepare correctly. Here we look at some proven ways to do exactly that…
Snow burn
First of all you need to remember that you are going to be at a high altitude, so the sun can present a danger if you aren’t ready for it. Use a decent sunscreen from the outset and do not be fooled by the near zero temperature.
Protective clothing
Even if your kids don’t stray from the nursery slopes, never forget that they should always wear the correct gear. This includes proper headwear and gloves. Frostbite can also cause issues for the unprepared, so the right clothing needs to be chosen before you pack for the airport.
