A Stay in the Chalet

All of our Meribel ski chalets have been fitted to be able to warmly welcome children and young families. During your stay you’ll find that we have cots, highchairs, toys and games for children, kids DVDs and can even arrange for a babysitter should the adults want to treat themselves to an evening meal or drinks out at night.

Our chalet teams are experienced in preparing food for the children, with specific kids meals at breakfast and for the evening meal and we can even prepare some packed lunches for your days out on the slopes. We want to ensure you have as relaxed and enjoyable time as possible on your ski holiday so can cater for fussy eaters and keep your children’s appetites satisfied.

When booking your stay with Ski Blanc we offer a couple of free places when you are booking a chalet for sole occupancy, and even when you are booking for family rooms within other chalets we offer a 50% discount for children in Foehn, Covie, L’Erine and Charmille. We are also flexible in our approach, offering a 50% discount should you wish to place an extra bed in your room for a child. We are just a few steps away from a wide range of restaurants and a pizzeria, all happy to welcome young families.

Activities for All the Children

As well as the child-friendly slopes and ski lessons for the family there is a wide range of activities for all the children to enjoy, even those under the age of 5. The Olympic centre has an indoor heated pool and slide, a paddling pool for the young ones, hot showers and changing rooms, with under-5s entering for free.

If you fancy an icy sporting pursuit for the family why not try ice skating at the Olympic Centre, which was built for the 92’ Olympics. There are specially adapted skates for the kids to wear safely on the ice and stability cones for the little ones to push around. The ice skating is also free for under-5s. In the evenings why not take the whole family to the local bowling alley where children from 3-4 years+ have access to lighter weight bowling balls and mini shoes. Bowling is a fun activity for all the family to get competitive with!

A Walking Trip for the Family

There are a number of great, picturesque walks for the family to take around the Meribel area. You can take the Rhodos bubble from La Chaudanne to the top, arriving at the beginner ski area. From here there is a wonderful walking path that takes you through the Alpine forest. You can teach your children to forage and enjoy the wild, looking out for animal tracks. It is a stunning way to explore the area around the ski slopes.

As you can see there are a number of reasons why a stay at Meribel is perfect for a young family, with something to keep the little ones entertained at every step.
