1. It’s the original village
Established in the 12th century, charming Les Allues is the original Meribel village. It’s a charming village with lovely higgledy-piggledy French buildings and narrow streets. When it’s covered with a dusting of snow it’s a beautiful place to take a walk and discover its alpine appeal.
2. It’s close to the slopes
Meribel Centre is super spread out which means that most of the time, you have to drive or take the bus to the slopes. Serviced by the Olympe bubble, Les Allues is actually closer than most of the chalets in the centre. All of our chalets are less than few hundred metres away from the gondola, which takes exactly 15 minutes to whip you up to the main lift area. That’s a win in our eyes!
3. You get more for your money
All of our chalets are large and bright with hot tubs and beautiful sunny views. Our chalets sleep from 11 upwards and you know that you’ll have lovely large living spaces with warm, cozy fireplaces and all the ameneties to hand. Make sure to take a look at our chalets and get a feel for them.
4. There’s a great bus service
Not only does Les Allues have access to the bubble, but there is a great bus service that runs from 07:30 to half past midnight every day – and it’s completely free! Have you stayed in a resort with an irregular bus service that stops at 5pm? If you have, you know how important it is to be able to get around
5. There’s definitely a village community
Most of the people who live in Meribel year-round live in Les Allues. That means that you’ll bump into people in the most unexpected of places who can give you really excellent tips and insider information on skiing in the area. Not only that, but there are four local pub-restaurants stuffed to the brim with welcoming drinks, great food and a wonderful atmosphere.
