En’k Cafe & Bar

Tucked away just above the old stone bread oven in the village of Les Allues, this is a family run business, and very popular with the locals. The Folie Douce

When you think of Après Ski the first bar that springs to mind is the Folie Douce. The famous on-piste après bar is just below the Sauliere Express Mid station which means that you can enjoy a taste of their famous après program without even having to ski. Ski to the Folie and enjoy an afternoon of drinks, dancing and a show, you can then take the bubble back down to Meribel Centre without worrying about skiing afterwards! Always a great party with a wonderful atmosphere whatever the weather, their show starts from 2pm daily and has dancers, live bands and DJs playing on top of the roof looking down on the huge sunny terrace. The Folie is all about the show with their dancers trained in Paris before the start of season - meaning you're sure to enjoy yourself here!

Rond Point des Pistes Apres Ski Bar

Probably one of the most 'iconic' and popular après ski bars in the Three Valleys & the French Alps. When you finish skiing it is located just off the main Doron piste and the huge south facing sundeck and toffee vodka sold by the bottle really attract huge crowds of avid partygoers. Everyday live British bands and DJs play on the terrace or in the bar from 4.30pm onwards. It is normally packed every night with the music thumping out. The 'Ronnie' is also home to many different apres ski festivals and park events - make sure to check it out on a Wednesday when it is expecially busy. This is where ‘The Feeling’ started out and are now well known for their chart success. If you’ve had too many to safely ski back down you can take also take the free Meribel resort bus line 'C' meaning that you can apres hard and get home easily.

Renowned for the warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and of course the beautiful view. With carefully sourced international ingredients, local Savoyard specialities and great value daily specials, La Terrasse du Village is the perfect venue to refuel straight off the slopes. Jack's Bar

Jack's Bar in Meribel centre was a beloved staple of Meribel's social scene and many of our returning guests were extremely sad to see it go! After a 12 month absence Jack's is now back on the site of the former Meribar bar. Serving up fresh nachos, pizzas and great apres cocktails, there is live music Monday to Friday from 5pm onwards. Join the team from 4pm everyday at the foot of the Chaudanne and enjoy their sunny terrace and happy hour. OUR TOP PICKS FOR 'A night out in Meribel' from Buzzy bars to sophisticated cocktail venues.

La Copina

A firm favourite here at Ski Blanc, La Copina is in the centre of Meribel and is a fabulous cocktail and tapas bar with a heavy Spanish flavour. Run by cocktail aficionados, Copina features a gorgeous cocktail menu including beloved favourites like Espresso Martinis whilst also hosting a strong list of world wines and excellent craft beers. This is the perfect bar for a fun, buzzy night out and the extensive tapas menu makes for a great alternative to restaurant dining.

Dionysus Wine Bar

New to Meribel for the Winter 2020 season Dionysus is just across the road from Copina and features an extensive wine list (being named after the Greek God of wine we'd expect nothing less!) and cocktail menu. Set in opulent modern luxury this is definitely the bar to head to for a sophisticated evening.

L'Abreuvoir

L'Abreuvoir is located in an enviable position right in the centre of Meribel and is a firm favourite with the locals. Located on the old site of the Poste de Secours. A cozy interior, a real alpine chalet feel, and wood and sheepskin furs, you can even sit inside an old gondola. There is also a small terrace outside. Plenty to choose from on their extensive drinks menu, with lots of different gins and cocktails and of course beer. They also have a great menu including a choice of tapas.

Barometer

For people that have spent time in Meribel over the years, Barometer has grown to be a real institution. It has a contemporary restaurant, bar and lounge area and is a sophisticated establishment with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Open from midday, Barometer has a wide range of wines, cocktails and beers including the infamous 'Mutzig' beer which any ski holiday goer knows is a classic!

OUR TOP PICKS FOR 'Late nights' out and about

La Taverne

By now, the 'Tav' as it's affectionately known by locals is one of the most popular bars in the area. With it's dated interior and lager on tap the bar feels like a quintessentially British pub. Open morning til late every day of the week, 'Tav' kicks off the day with huge full english breakfasts, and also includes a spot on menu from their restaurant downstairs. Showing all the top sporting events and with regular live music, the bar is bound to be busy no matter the time and is a fun and energetic spot for a bit of raucous late night drinking, dancing and socialising.

The Doron Pub

Located just across from La Taverne, the Doron Pub is another Meribel institution with many locals heading over to the Pub after Tav has closed it's doors. Early on, the Pub can seem more relaxed with two pool tables to while away your time but from 22:00 to 01:30 it will get very busy and loud with either live music of local DJs playing til late.

The Brewer's Den

The Den is newly refurbished and one of the favourite local hangouts above O'Sullivans in the centre of Meribel. The den was born out of a love of BBQ and craft ale and it's certainly lived up to that reputation. Run by craft brew connoisseurs, the Den has the very best ales and beers that Europe has to offer including welcome flavours of the week. If beer is not your ‘thing’ then no sweat! The den also hosts a well chosen wine menu, signature cocktails and a heck of a lot of BBQ food. Regularly hosting live music and the infamous 'Rock and Roll Bingo' and 'Big Lebowski' nights, the Den is certainly one to visit.

O'Sullivans

O'Sullivans has been for years one of the oldest & most famous clubs in the Alps and is Meribel’s premier nightclub. With improved lighting and sound systems, plasma screens, a new VIP service, group packages and having had a facelift it is now even more impressive than ever! With music seven nights a week, you’ll find the party animals of Meribel, tourists, seasonaires and even the odd celebrity, raising the roof until the early hours.

If you want to book a private area in the main bar for the night, booking one of the comfy booths is the perfect way to make your night a little bit more special. Queue Jump for your group and a bottle of Spirits are included in the price.

  • Lovely chalet and fantastic location – just a minute to the main lift . Wonderful area to ski – we have been to Meribel quite a few times now and it never disappoints. Food delicious and facilities very good.

Jenny Sanders, 09 Mar 2024, Chalet L'Erine, Meribel

  • We all had an excellent time in Chalet Foehn. It was lovely; cosy, homely and providing everything we needed. The resort was great. This was my first visit to Meribel and I'm impressed with the number and variety of the runs available over the three valleys. We managed to ski everyday albeit not quite all day every day. Particularly; I'd like to thank our hosts. They both looked after us brilliantly. The food was delicious, the packed lunches just right and the cakes wonderful. I am still shocked how nice vegan brownies can be!

Nick Leigh, 25 Mar 2024 Chalet Foehn, Meribel

  • I can safely say that all 3 families, had an absolutely fantastic holiday from the time we arrived at the chalet to when we left. From the great customer service, that Janey afforded us while organising the holiday, to the face to face contact with you all while there. We have to make a very special mention to our hosts who made our stay extra special and who were fabulous chalet hosts. They make the perfect team, both friendly and professional, ensuring that each and every one of us was catered for…which is quite a task given we had quite a few dietary requirements! Their food was excellent….the children deciding to eat with us rather than eating a separate menu is testimony to that!

Richard Thomson, 01 Mar 2024 Chalet Charmille, Meribel
