OUR TOP PICKS FOR 'Late nights' out and about
La Taverne
By now, the 'Tav' as it's affectionately known by locals is one of the most popular bars in the area. With it's dated interior and lager on tap the bar feels like a quintessentially British pub. Open morning til late every day of the week, 'Tav' kicks off the day with huge full english breakfasts, and also includes a spot on menu from their restaurant downstairs. Showing all the top sporting events and with regular live music, the bar is bound to be busy no matter the time and is a fun and energetic spot for a bit of raucous late night drinking, dancing and socialising.
The Doron Pub
Located just across from La Taverne, the Doron Pub is another Meribel institution with many locals heading over to the Pub after Tav has closed it's doors. Early on, the Pub can seem more relaxed with two pool tables to while away your time but from 22:00 to 01:30 it will get very busy and loud with either live music of local DJs playing til late.
The Brewer's Den
The Den is newly refurbished and one of the favourite local hangouts above O'Sullivans in the centre of Meribel. The den was born out of a love of BBQ and craft ale and it's certainly lived up to that reputation. Run by craft brew connoisseurs, the Den has the very best ales and beers that Europe has to offer including welcome flavours of the week. If beer is not your ‘thing’ then no sweat! The den also hosts a well chosen wine menu, signature cocktails and a heck of a lot of BBQ food. Regularly hosting live music and the infamous 'Rock and Roll Bingo' and 'Big Lebowski' nights, the Den is certainly one to visit.
O'Sullivans
O'Sullivans has been for years one of the oldest & most famous clubs in the Alps and is Meribel’s premier nightclub. With improved lighting and sound systems, plasma screens, a new VIP service, group packages and having had a facelift it is now even more impressive than ever! With music seven nights a week, you’ll find the party animals of Meribel, tourists, seasonaires and even the odd celebrity, raising the roof until the early hours.
If you want to book a private area in the main bar for the night, booking one of the comfy booths is the perfect way to make your night a little bit more special. Queue Jump for your group and a bottle of Spirits are included in the price.
