The Meribel sunshine
Did you know Meribel has the most sunshine of all the three valley resorts?
The open aspect of the middle valley means more hours of winter sunshine. You can literally follow the sun around all day. Even on the shorter January days, you will find the slopes above the Meribel Altiport area are still basking in sunshine long after the shade hits the other three valley resorts.
The resort activities
Part of the Olympic legacy in Meribel are the sports facilities, take advantage of the swimming pool, gym, spa, ice-skating and indoor climbing wall right at the foot of the slopes. Non skiers can also take advantage of a pedestrian lift pass to explore the beautiful walking trails and even join the rest of the group up in one of the many alpine slope side restaurants. If it’s pampering you are looking for, then you can try out one of the luxury spas View pampering options or organise a massage in the chalet for your convenience. Meribel boasts some of the finest cross country skiing in the world with runs to suit the beginner to the advanced. For more ways to enjoy the alpine environment ask us for information about some of the other activities available: snow shoeing, snow mobiles, parapenting and more.
The ski & snowboard instructors
A little charm can go a long way when you are learning to ski or snowboard. We find our guests like their instructors fairly good-looking, but not at the price of being distant or moody!!! In all seriousness, Meribel has fantastic ski & snowboard instructors and we know many of them. Rest assured, we can find you a chirpy, skilled, patient instructor. Details of all the local ski schools we recommend can be found here: Meribel Ski Schools
The nightlife
After your
chalet dinner, Meribel's many bars offer drink promotions and more live music to
tempt you back out. Two for one
cocktails, jugs of beer, and of course the infamous Meribel favourite – Toffee
Vodka shots.
There is an excellent free 'Meribus' shuttle service run by the resort which runs till midnight from the bus stop very close to our chalets. It is an easy hop up to Meribel centre it takes 10mins ensuring you don’t
miss out on a thing. 8 seater Taxis are readily available running all night from O'Sullivans night club till 6am, 10mins from our chalets.
