There is free parking outside the majority of our chalets. In Les Allues itself there are several free public car parks where you can leave your car for the week. We can advise you on the best place to park once you have chosen which chalet to stay in.

If I get the Eurostar from the UK what time can we get into the chalet and where can we leave our luggage? Can we store our luggage in the chalet on the following Saturday? Is there anywhere to have showers after skiing?

The chalet will be available for you to come in and have a cup of tea, get changed etc from 8.30/9am. We will then bring your lift passes to the chalet so that you can maximize your skiing time and get out skiing on that first Saturday. You are able to change and store your luggage in the chalet. On the following Saturday you can also store your luggage in the chalet. You can then come back and pick them up before your departure. We just ask that you vacate your rooms by 9.30am so that the chalet staff can start their change over day and get the linen off the beds ready to go off to the laundry. At the Chaudanne in Meribel, the Olympic centre has a swimming pool and facilities to have a shower. They also hire towels for a small fee.

Each time you approach the lifts the turnstile opens automatically thanks to a detection system based on Radio Frequency Identification.

The Location

How far are the chalets from the ski slopes?

The bubble lift is practically right outside the chalets, (2 mins walk). The bubble lift takes exactly 15 mins to the central lift station (La Chaudanne) in Meribel where all the lifts fan out from and you then have direct access to the Meribel slopes and 3 valleys skiing

Will we have to walk in my ski boots and carry the equipment?

It's a very short (downhill) walk to the bubble lift, but many of our guests take up the option of reserving a locker at the foot of the slopes and wander down in their apres ski boots.  This is also a good choice for those planning to stay up in Meribel town for shopping or to sample the Meribel apres ski party

Can we ski back to the chalet?

Yes, there is a run back to the village, and whilst very picturesque it is a very long run to do at the end of the day as it is a long descent and snow dependent at the lower end, certainly you can normally always ski down to the lift station just above Les Allues at Raffort.

If we stay with you in Meribel les Allues, can we still enjoy all the facilities in the centre of the main Meribel ski resort?

It is very easy to travel between Meribel centre and Meribel Les Allues during the day and evening. In conjunction with the bubble. The Meribus runs from 07:30 to half past midnight.  In the evening time if you want to head up to Meribel centre for après ski we offer a door to door minibus service, the drive is 7mins. The bars close at 1am and we run the minibuses until then.

Does Les Allues have any nightlife?

La Tsaretta is a lively local bar in Les Allues which is open from 5pm until 1am each night and hosts British bands and themed nights throughout the week. The 4 village restaurants each have a ‘locals’ bar. Ski Blanc also offers a free minibus service until 1am, six nights a week (excluding Saturday) where our dedicated drivers will pick you up from your chalet and take you up town into Meribel.

Do we need to book a restaurant before coming on holiday for the chalet staffs night off?

It will be fine to book a restaurant as soon as you arrive for your night off. Your chalet staff will be able to recommend somewhere to dine out on their night off. See our   Apres Ski guide for places to dine out in Les Allues.

Do I need to bring additional footwear for the chalet?

Where is the nearest bank and cash point machine to change and draw out money?

What our customers say

  • Just wanted to say what a fantastic time we have had at Chalet Foehn. We were looked after so well. They went out of their way to make sure the children had something they liked to eat each evening and they were always very friendly and chatty. It was our first time being 'hosted' in any holiday situation - one that I wasn't sure about - but it was a pleasure. Meribel Les Allues seemed to us to be the perfect setting for a ski holiday. The bubble made a lovely trip each morning from just a few yards away, our lessons with Magic, couldn't have been better. They looked after the group perfectly. I don't think any of us thought that we would be skiing down slopes in such a way after just 4 lessons. The courtesy minibus service came in very handy and again worked perfectly. All in all it was an absolutely incredible week ( and I hope we'll be able to repeat it next year!) Thank you to all of you for making it so. Best wishes

L Raynor 03 Mar 2017, Chalet Foehn, Meribel.

  • Our chalet hosts were brilliant and the location and accommodation is fantastic and we are already planning next year!!

S Pinner 23 Feb 2017, Chalet Les Sauges, Meribel.

  • Thanyou once again for an amazing time with Ski Blanc in Chalet Foehn. As ever, the chalet hosts were brilliant and the food - catering for allergies, vegetarians, children and the rest - as always, generous, tasty and top quality. The week was enjoyed equally by those in the 4th year with Ski Blanc as much as the newbies. With the amount of interest already expressed since returning home - we might need two chalets next year! The count down has already begun.
